Experienced sailing couple available for passages and deliveries in Southeast Asia
We’re a married couple based in Chiang Mai, Thailand, looking to crew on passages and build ocean miles. In October 2026 we both completed IYT certificates in Competent Crew, Flotilla/Bareboat Skipper, and VHF Radio.
Me (64): I’ve been sailing for over 40 years and grew up on the water in Southern California. I’m now preparing for offshore passages and want blue-water experience. I’m a strong snorkeler and open to learning to dive.
My husband: A retired music teacher who is good with mechanical systems and engines.
Together we offer:
Navigation skills and two certified crew for watch-keeping
Mechanical know-how
Adaptability from living in the US, Turkey, Germany, Sweden, Myanmar, and Thailand
Availability on short notice and flexible dates
Quick access to Phuket, Langkawi, and the rest of the region
We’d prefer to sail as a couple, but I’m also willing to take a single crew position.
We both play ukulele, he plays guitar, and I sing, so we’re good company in an anchorage.
