Carpenter and welder looking for a passage to Brazil
Ahoy skippers,
I am looking for a boat heading to Brazil, or in that general direction. Europe to the Canaries to the Caribbean to South America works fine for me. Main goal is to gain real offshore experience and see what ocean sailing is about. Timeframe of departure January/February.
I have no sea miles yet, so I will be straight about that. What I do have:
Trained carpenter and joiner. I can handle wood repairs, varnishing, interior work and general maintenance. I also have metalwork and welding skills, including stainless steel. Through rope access work I am certified FSBS/IRATA Level 1, so I am comfortable with heights, knots and working up the mast. I am used to long days, I am practical and I like fixing things rather than watching them break.
On board I am happy to stand watches, cook, clean and do whatever needs doing. I pay my own travel to and from the boat and can contribute to trip expenses.
If you need an extra pair of skilled hands for the crossing, get in touch. I'd be happy to jump on board! :)
Based in Europe, Germany.
