Delivery or charter captain based South Africa
Good day,
I am based in South Africa and currently available for yacht deliveries, both locally and internationally, at short notice.
I am a professional delivery and charter captain with proven experience sailing vessels from Cape Town to the Caribbean and Mediterranean. I have also run term charters in the USVI and held the role of Operations Manager for a private charter company, overseeing fleet logistics, crew coordination, and vessel readiness.
I am actively seeking delivery opportunities out of South Africa and am fully prepared for offshore passages, including route planning, weather routing, watch systems, and safety management.
In addition, I hold a B.N.S degree in Nature Conservation and have worked extensively across Southern Africa as an outdoor adventure guide. This background has strengthened my leadership, adaptability, and decision-making in remote and challenging environments.
My experience as a liveaboard charter captain, combined with operations management, has given me strong hands-on skills in vessel maintenance, troubleshooting, and mechanical systems. I take pride in running safe, efficient, and well-managed passages, while maintaining a positive and professional onboard environment.
