One if by land, Two if by sea.
I like to have a natural respect and courtesy for others. I've lived in several cities and countries and like to keep the option of travel open. People usually find me quiet and interesting to have around and I try to keep a small footprint in tight quarters. I like animals, keeping active and healthy, and trying things that generally look like they ought to be tried.
CYA Basic Cruising Cert; Pleasure Craft Operator Card; Advanced Amateur Radio License; Marine Radio Certificate; years of blue water cruising experience (single-handing as well as crewing); Freshwater and blue water racing experience; Some knowledge of boat repair and maintenance. I'm a non-smoker and drink socially only.
I currently have a 1990 Sabre 425 in Montego Bay, Jamaica, that has been through 2 hurricanes and while there are a few minor issues to take care of, she sails like a champ! I am looking to sail her out of Jamaica, through the Bahamas and then up the US coast and perhaps go as far as Nova Scotia. From there I'll plan a crossing to the Azores and mainland Portugal - hopefully it will all get done this year (2026), but probably 2027.
I'm also looking for crew to help with sailing out of Jamaica then plan the next leg(s) north. If interested, please get in touch. I'll be on the boat from April onward and would like to leave Montego Bay in May, 2026.
