I'm looking for sailing opportunities around Europe and/or beyond
Hi, I'm Uli, 38, living in Munich right now. I'm working remotely as a writer.
I love the sea and I'd like to finally improve my sailing skills and build miles.
My experience so far is honestly very limited. I did my RYA Competent Crew in Greece in October 2018, and before that I spent regular weekends on a fishing boat in New Zealand (2015/16). That's about it. I'd like to refresh what I learned and gain experience/maybe change my life style.
I can help out with a lot of things on board — cooking, cleaning, caring for guests, renovation work, even video production and content marketing if that's useful. I'm generally very sociable, even though I'd call myself an introvert.
I'm looking for easy-going people, preferably non-drinkers as I quit alcohol and drugs.
I grew up as a landlubber, but I've always felt drawn to the sea. I spent 15 months in New Zealand and Fiji, travelled to India (8 months in total), and spent a lot of time in Italy (about 1 year). I speak reasonable Italian, too.
I'm not afraid of getting my hands dirty. I'm keen to learn, able to listen, and usually pretty receptive. I like to cook (mainly vegetarian, but I eat fish and meat too) and I'd say I'm creative in several matters.
