Available for Captain position or professional yacht delivery services (sailing vessel)
I offer yacht delivery services as Captain for private owners, brokers, and shipyards, as well as assistance in operating privately owned yachts (coaching and first mate), always in a professional and safety-oriented manner.
I have over 13 years of professional experience; a detailed CV is available upon request.
I hold a double qualification: RYA/MCA Yachtmaster Offshore (Commercially Endorsed) and SCCOY – Swiss Certificate of Competence for Ocean Yachting (unlimited, non-commercial), with approximately 30,000 nautical miles sailed on 37–66 ft sailing yachts.
I speak Italian, French, and English at a working level suitable for yacht operations.
I provide consultancy and coaching for new owners, advising on yacht preparation, equipment selection, and safety improvements. I accompany owners during their first passages at sea and provide onboard training, including instruction on Iridium satellite systems, Starlink, and marine electronics in general.
I am available for challenging sailing areas, including high latitudes such as Svalbard, Greenland, and Patagonia/Antarctica.

*** SOME EXAMPLES OF JOBS ***
* I worked as a captain for 3 months on a Southern Ocean 62-foot ketch, first sailing it from Martinique to Valencia and then cruising in the Mediterranean. I performed routine maintenance and repairs, as well as coordinated the necessary work with craftsmen in collaboration with the owner.
* Alongside the new owner of a Nordship 40, in Port Camargue (France) we prepared his boat for an Atlantic crossing. We assessed the condition of the recently purchased (secondhand) boat and addressed any issues that needed fixing. Outdated electronic components and charts were updated, and an Iridium Go! with an external antenna was installed. Finally, we took the boat out for a sea trial since it hadn't been to sea in 20 years. Afterward, I joined him in Fuengirola to make the passage to the Canary Islands.
* I worked as first mate for 4 months aboard a Besteaver 66, sailing the route from Wangharei (NZ), Darwin (AU) to Mauritius. My job was to help the owner with the running and maintenance of his boat, as well as daily checks when he was not on board.
* I worked as coach and skipper for the new owner of a Garcia Passoa 55cc, providing a tailored coaching program focused on offshore sailing, boat preparation, and planning of maintenance and future upgrades. We sailed extensively in the Mediterranean, including Sardinia, Menorca, the Camargue, and the French Riviera, combining practical training with real-life passages and onboard instruction.
