RYA Yachtmaster Ocean / USCG 100T — Captain, Mate & Dive Instructor (MSDT)
Professional mariner with a decade of command and dive experience across Alaska, the Bahamas, the USVI, Florida Keys, and Raja Ampat. Currently building qualifying MCA seatime toward OOW progression, so open to Deckhand, Mate, Chase Boat Captain or Bosun roles on yachts and expedition vessels alongside larger command opportunities where relevant.
Most recently Port Captain for a whale-watching operation in Southeast Alaska. Prior roles include First Mate and dive instructor aboard a sailing yacht in the Bahamas, Captain of an expedition sailing vessel supporting documentary work in Raja Ampat, a transatlantic delivery from Gibraltar to the BVI, and years of charter work and liveaboard dive operations in the USVI and Florida Keys. Comfortable on deck across a wide range of vessel types, quick to pick up new systems and close skill gaps, and equally at home leading guests or running engineering/deck operations.
Dual-qualified as captain and PADI MSDT — a combination well suited to expedition, dive-focused, and guest-facing programs. Wilderness First Responder and Emergency First Response First aid and CPR Instructor. Trained and able to act as onboard medic in a limited capacity.
