Seeking Sailing Soulmate
I know this is a little bit odd, but I thought I’d try!
Honorable adventurer, overly-educated, fit, slender, active, upbeat, sailor’s disposition, calm in a crisis, content with the simple pleasures of boatlife, seeking sailing soulmate.
I was a liveaboard cruiser on our 54’ ketch for almost a decade during every winter season (and some full years) in Caribbean with additional time spent cruising in South Pacific, Hawai`i and Med. I was working full time when on our boat which kept me very busy so I’m pretty much first mate level, interior focussed, not captain. Approx. 10,000 miles.
Fortunate to have had the luxury of years of remote work from the "boat office". Mostly retired but sometimes enjoy doing a little remote work. I also love creating shore-side adventures - hiring archeologists and historians as private guides, finding lovely local places to eat, arranging walks through ancient forests and fully exploring our latest temporary home wherever the boat is anchored.
We normally kept our Amel in Curaçao and spent summers in France. Sadly, divorce put an end to our lovely cruising years. For now, I'm primarily interested in cruising in the Med in summer, happy to sail elsewhere in winter, following the sun.
Seeking a strong honorable man with a kind heart; witty, humorous exchange; well-functioning neurons; good laugher; lover of the outdoors and the gifts of nature, fit/healthy.
Would love to return to cruising as a couple, prefer quiet remote anchorages, warm weather, turquoise water.
Spent a recent winter on a Greek island, sailed in New Zealand, New Caledonia & Australia (Tasmania!). Currently based in sunny Portugal. Plans written in sand at low tide... but the basic principle is to follow warmth and sunshine...
I speak a couple of languages (fluent French & Bahasa Indonesia etc.), fun if you can too!
IMPORTANT, please note before writing -- I'm looking for a true, long-term romantic partner who loves to sail and is free to follow the sun. To save us both time, please only respond if you are:
** Truly, 100% single (in every sense of the word)
** Financially independent (as am I).
** Within 2 or 3 years of my age.
** Reasonably fit, non-smoking, and easygoing.
** And are a one-woman man looking for a one-man woman :) **
