I hold a USCG Master license with Sailing endorsement. Three decades of boating experience and a decade of sailing experience, with over 5000nm of open water sailing under my belt. Owner/operator of a 45-foot sailboat with extensive Great Lakes cruising and passage-making experience, complemented by yacht delivery, offshore, and bareboat charter experience along the U.S. East Coast, Bahamas, and Caribbean. Experienced with multi-day passages, overnight operations, solo watchkeeping, electronic and paper chart navigation, radar, AIS, VHF, and routine vessel maintenance. Seeking opportunities as a charter captain, delivery captain, or professional delivery crew.

Excellent Competent Sailor and Crew member.
Jake has spent about twenty days on my boat on two separate and long journeys. He is very laid back and understands sailing (even on a big Cat) extremely well. He’s adventurous which means he’s not afraid of sailing if the weather is rougher or stopping if it’s unsafe. We’ve had many many hours of conversations and I believe his personality would be a great fit for almost any captain and crew. Jake is a pleasure to have onboard and I cannot recommend anyone more highly if you need helping moving your boat. I’m confident he will be sailing with us in the future.
