Experienced Mate, looking for a sailing yacht.
Hello,
I am an experienced sailor looking for a yacht in need of my skills sailing and operating yachts, charter management, or sailing delivery services.
I owned, operated and was captain of Sundara Sail Charters Trinidad from 2013 to 2018. I am experienced in planning and preparing charters, and captaining term charters and day trips. I've done private charter and delivery captaincy throughout the Caribbean too.
I have been a superyacht deckhand for three seasons in the Caribbean and Med, and a superyacht mate for a season in the Caribbean. I worked in boatbuilding for six years and am good with carpentry and fiberglassing.
I am looking for a boat in which I can offer my skills on deck and with guests, and learn from a captain and engineer.
I have fair keelboat racing experience, and used to race dinghys too. I love to teach sailing, and was a youth (Opti) sail instructor for a few years. I've taught a few clients with fresh keelboats and catamarans how to sail too.
I am respectful, I strive to hold clear communication and I'm easy going. I am not a big partyer and I don't smoke. I do love being on the sea and I would love to find a position in which I can offer my skills and grow.
