⛵️ Crew wanted ⛵️
This summer I plan to sail a mini-Atlantic circuit; Algarve> Madeira> Azores> Lisbon> Algarve and would like some crew to join me ?
My boat, Griffin, is a Starlight 35, (11m) she was designed as a fast cruiser so is cozy inside but great sailing. She is well equipped for offshore passages with EPIRB, radar, Iridium GO, AIS, auto pilot, hydrovane, solid engine, new rigging etc. There is one spare cabin (forepeak) plus the saloon for crew.
I’ve done a lot of solo sailing the last 2/3 years but this year would like a more social summer so I’m inviting people to join me!
Preferably crew will have some sailing experience as you will be taking watches but a good vibe on board will be just as important! I plan to take my time around the islands, with a mix of anchoring and marinas, exploring, hiking, diving, eating/drinking out…. You are welcome to join for all or just part of the trip.
Griffin will be going into the yard in Portimao from April to mid-May mainly for copper coating but also various smaller jobs, then likely a few test sails around south Portugal in May before heading offshore at the start of June. The only schedule then will be back on the mainland around the end of August or start of Sept.
We would share costs for fuel, provisions and marina fees. Any travel or Covid related costs would be down to you. Ill monitor the rules but at the moment you would need a valid vaccination cert as otherwise testing and quarantine would be needed on the islands.
