Sailing San Blas Islands
We are a couple, Christopher and Annie, from the USA looking for crew to provide extra hands. This position would be best for those interested in sailing, navigating, anchoring, and doing boat projects but is also just as interested in living the island hopping life. Previous sailing experience isn't required but you must be willing to learn. We take it one day at a time and are not in any rush though we are on a circumnavigation plan. Currently we're cruising around the Caribbean coast of Panama and plan to cross the canal in 2023.
Graceland is sailing around the San Blas Islands right now. In addition to sailing, crew can expect to enjoy snorkeling, paddle boarding, fishing, meeting the local people, pick-up volleyball games on the beach, bonfires at night, preparing delicious meals to share with friends, exploring the rivers and jungle nearby.
We plan to be in San Blas until Mid May 22' then taking a break for 2 months to visit family in the USA. We will likely leave the boat on a mooring in Linton Bay during that time. We are not sure of our plans after that but we are thinking we will head to Bocas Del Toro for some time, then return to San Blas in December.
Christopher spent nearly 20 years as a professional musician touring with his band of 7 people internationally. Together we own and operated rental properties in the States. We have shared our spaces with people around the world on land and on our boat and have made lifelong friendships.
Some basics:
-Shared Cost includes meals - alcohol and vices are up to you.
-Transportation to the boat: The closest airport is PTY. Transportation from Panama City is about $75 each way.
-Couples or friends traveling as 2 or 3 would be ok, just message us to find out if we have space on the boat
-You must have good cleaning habits. Everyone must help to keep Graceland in good order. Boats require order for safety.
