Hi,
Looking for 2 experienced crew to take a classic wooden ketch rigged motor sailer from cork Ireland to Vila Real de San Antonio at the eastern end of the Algarve, on the river Guadiana, which makes the Portuguese/Spanish border.
Approximately a 10 day trip of approx 800miles. Hoping to set off next Tuesday the 13th of June 2023. 3 people altogether, with watches of 3 hrs on 6 hrs off.
Food supplied and £100 paid p/p for return flight from Faro.

Boat descriptionIona of Fife is a very strong wooden ketch rigged motorsailer built by James Miller and Sons of Scotland. She was built in 1976 on the same lines as a fishing boat. She has a fully enclosed wheelhouse with Chartplotter, Auto helm etc. Safety gear includes a new ocean rated Liferaft, EPIRB location beacon, lifejackets and harnesses. She is not a fast boat but is very steady and seaworthy, she has a mainsail, a mizzen sail, a furling genoa and a foresail that flies from a bowsprit.
