Sail Malaysia Rally, Langkawi/Pangkor to Sabah (Borneo) hop-on, hop-off, 5-May to 27-Aug

I am a solo sailor but would prefer to have help from crew and I have entered the Sail Malaysia "Passage to the East" 2022 rally which starts early May 2022 and runs until late August 2022. My boat has 3 cabins (mine, plus 2) and ideally, I would have 2 crew members assisting, or perhaps a couple plus one or two couples (making easy use of the cabins available) ... I do not want the living area of my boat being used for sleeping. The nature of the rally, with regular stops, means possible crew can do long sections or just short sections.
The Rally has the following scheduled stops where crew could join or depart :-
Malaysia West Coast
- Langkawi - depart early on 5-May
- 8-May to 12-May @ Pangkor Marina (Lumut)
- 20-May to 22-May @ Puteri Harbour Marina, Johor Bahru
Malaysia East Coast
- 24-May to 26-May @ Desaru, Bandar Penawar, Johor
- 28-May to 30-May @ Pulau Tioman, Pahang
depart Tioman ... probably to Anambas Islands, Indonesia
Malaysia Borneo Coast
- 16-June to 21-June @ Kuching, Sarawak
... and continuing with regular stops along the Sarawak & Sabah coast until completion on 27-Aug @ Tawau
I would seek a financial contribution of 50MYR per day which will cover food (but not alcohol), fuel, marina fees etc. The Rally includes a number of Gala Dinners which would also be covered by your contribution.
My boat is a non-smoking boat and strictly NO alcohol until the anchor is set. I eat most everything and would prefer crew with a similar easy-going approach to diet.
Your sailing experience is not terribly important (but would be helpful) but most important is the ability to keep a watch out. The rally will include some overnight passages and willingness to keep watch during darkness will be helpful.
General duties to make life pleasant on board, such as cleaning & cooking would also be helpful contributions.
Please ask any questions as there is a lot of detail skipped here to try to keep it brief.
Thanks for reading.

  • Boat descriptionMy boat was built in 1975 in America and its first owner brought her to Spain. From there it moved onto Swedish ownership and my previous owner sailed her from Sweden (departing 2013) to south-east Asia (across the Atlantic & the Pacific Oceans) before then selling her to me in January-2019. Since taking ownership, I have sailed about 4,000miles in her, around Malaysia & Thailand. She is a centre-cockpit ketch with 3 cabins (1 double aft & 2 twins forward), 2 electric toilets, water-maker, generator, big engine, solar panels, big galley & electric cooker, spacious salon, nice sized & secure cockpit area and with safety equipment suitable for crossing oceans.
