Island Hopping Around The British Virgin Islands On 44' Catamaran
We (myself and 1 couple) are planning a 10 - 14 day charter trip around the British Virgin Islands sometime in March or early April 2023. Need only 1 more crew (capable female) to assist on the 44' Lagoon catamaran. Duties would be to pick up mooring ball pennants, line handling & attaching fenders when infrequently docking, steering boat when tacking (I will handle sails). Depart and return to Road Harbor on Tortola (dates not yet fully confirmed). I am Inviting crew who is interested in exploring the BVIs, especially if you have never been there before and would like to learn more about sailing - especially on a 44' catamaran. Boat is equipped with generator, A/C and R.O. water maker.
I enjoy introducing people to sailing who have never been before.
Captain would be responsible for all expenses on board and can assist with some expenses ashore as needed for right individual.
Transportation to and from the boat will be the responsibility of crew. Generally easiest way to get to Tortola is to fly into St. Thomas (STT) and take ferry to Road Harbor.
Another option is to fly into San Juan, PR (SJU) and take another flight (smaller plane) to Beef Island, Tortola (EIS) & taxi to boat.
I don't really cook, so most meals will be in restaurants ashore (you would be responsible for what you eat & drink).
Snorkel, dive, sunbathe, relax, visit Baths on Virgin Gorda, Possibly Peter Island if open (closed since 2017 hurricanes), Jost Van Dyke (Foxy's, Sidney's, Soggy Dollar bar), Norman Island, Cooper Island and possibly Anegada.
I particularly love sailing the BVIs (have been 12+ times) and have exhausted all family, neighbors, friends, some who have been there 4+ times with me and are not so interested in going there again as they are looking to go somewhere else.
Reply if interested with availability, how much advance notice you require and a photo. My photos are in ad, so please provide yours.
Thanks,
Bob (BVI-Captain)
