Falmouth to Malaga aboard 32’ sloop
Hello sailors and bailors,
I am planning on sailing from Falmouth in the UK too Malaga the Med.
I am ready to leave from Falmouth once a favourable weather window presents itself to cross Biscay.
Looking for between 1-2 crew depending upon experience as soon as possible really (to do the Biscay crossing).
Trip will be fairly chilled. No point sailing past all the nice places you can visit!
Duties on board will be relaxed taking turns on watch and cooking.
Periwinkle is a simple, strong classic with lots of spares onboard and several upgrades which I am happy to detail to anyone interested.
Anyone interested is welcome to jump aboard around other commitments and not have to stay for the whole trip.
Crew:
I am looking for 1 or 2 people with at least some experience or is a a quick leaner. No judgement as to who you are age or sex wise, all I will say is being a classic she (the boat) is quite pokey and the berths are a snug fit.
Costs:
Shared food.
I pay for fuel, water, and, in most circumstances, marinas.
No daily ‘boat maintenance cover costs’ rubbish (you know when someone’s bought a boat they can’t afford - be weary)
Periwinkle:
Periwinkle is a 1967 Van de Stadt Sprinter 32 monohull sloop. A heavily built cruiser racer of old. However being an older and, more specifically, simple boat there is no hot water, no shower, no heating, and no fridge.
About me, I’m English and 33 years old, and currently in the process of moving to Spain. I have lots of sailing experience including offshore cruising, deliveries, racing and RYA instruction. I am a yacht surveyor by trade and know my boat inside out.
Amongst other things I enjoy chatting, music, food, reading and nature and like meeting people from all walks of life!
Get in touch and let’s have a chat.
Apologies if I don’t get back to you straight away.
