** URGENT** Trawler Yacht Monara seeks crew for Indian ocean crossing

Monara is currently cruising between Komodo and Lombok. We're planning to start our crossing from Lombok, Indonesia, on June 1st.
Crossing to Christmas island takes 4 days, from there to Keeling another 4 days, 11 days to the Maldives and from there 10 days to the Seychelles.
Monara is a 1960 trawler yacht, see monara.be for more details.
As a crew member we want you to help in navigating, keeping a watch and assist in household tasks, anchoring and berthing.
We expect to live together with our crew, this is not work, it's relaxed and pleasant cruising, nice food and exploring the world.
Costs of food would be shared, fuel will be paid by the captain.

  • Boat descriptionMonara is a 1960 trawler yacht, with two original Gardner engines. Although she's an old lady, she has all the amenities of a modern yacht, including stabilisation and all safety and communication equipment required for ocean traveling. Over the last year she has traveled from Belgium to Juneau, Alaska, with the owner and his family. Now the owner wants to continue the adventure, while the children have to leave the vessel to start university. Over the next 12 months Monara will be exploring British Columbia, Alaska and Japan. To mention some of our preferences, we love the ocean, prefer anchoring over a marina, exploration, diving, surfing, good food, adventures, music, humor. We have recently installed a Starlink dish on the boat, to enable us to stay in touch with land.. allthough Elon has limited his service to very close to shore. You can check our adventures on www.monara.be.
