Deckhand - Permanent - $Negotiable - New Caledonia

UPDATED AD: MY/ASKARI is a 2022 custom Horizon FD103.

We are looking for a flexible deckhand to maintain the boat day to day. ASKARI is a 'family boat' that will not be chartered often. The owners have previously ran their own 80ft sailing yacht in Europe for six years and their 83ft motor yacht in Australia for the past four years.

You will be managed and guided by an experienced Captain / Fleet Manager

You will be deck focused (boat licence preferred) assisting with cleaning the boat, helping with ropes, organising water toys etc. There is a good sized crew mess aft including crew cabin with king single sized bunks and a head, seperate to the captain's cabin and head. Your cabin will be private 90% of the time unless additional crew are needed (our chef sleeps forward).

We have a 32ft chase boat that will follow or be towed by ASKARI and two jetskis on the boat, so boat handling experience will be preferable.

Currently based in Noumea, New Caledonia and moving to New Zealand or Australia for some refit work in the next couple of months.

There is also a flexible triple birth cabin forward for additional guests or crew. There are also two crew cabins aft with large crew mess (Captains cabin and crew cabin with King Single bunks, each with its own head) There are two primary owners and two Mini Schnauzers onboard regularly joined by friends and family. ASKARI's water toys consist of an inflatable kayak and SUP, two Sea-Doo Sparks and a Saxdor 32ft Chase Boat. She is very stable with fin stabilisers (underway and zero speed).
