St Thomas International Regatta 2024

The St. Thomas International Regatta weekend in the U.S. Virgin Islands is etched into every racer’s mind as the “Crown Jewel” of Caribbean racing–where sailors can experience reliable breezes, warm azure waters and world-renowned island hospitality. The regatta features an impressive range of talent from professional sailors and avid weekend warriors to those just learning to sail, both adults and youth.

Centering the regatta activities around St Thomas Yacht Club the organisers draw on their experience of organising major regattas in the Virgin Islands, the Caribbean and around the world. It is the place to be for world-class racing and the chance to trade tacks and tactics with America’s Cup, Volvo Ocean and Olympic crews on the water and off.

If you’ve raced here in the past, you know that the competition and the camaraderie are unsurpassed. If you are contemplating making the trek for the first time, know that St Thomas will do their utmost to make it a special regatta just for you.

Starting off with 4 days of training and the bonus event of the Round the Rocks Race, featuring a scenic and competitive course circumnavigating the 19-square-mile neighbouring island of St. John, home of the Virgin Islands National Park. This race is ideal to familiarise the crew with the waters, the breeze and building strong team work. It is followed by 3 regatta days directly afterwards.

*** The STIR 2024 race has been confirmed for March 29th – 30th, however, the exact schedule has yet to be released. We do not believe the dates below will be altered, but please occasionally check this page as we will be updating it as soon as the full official schedule is released.
