Chef - Temporary / Seasonal - $6,000 / month - General (Caribbean)
This is the perfect opportunity for experienced yacht chefs that now want part-time work. We have an exciting circumnavigation program and excellent salary for the right persons (male or female). This yacht is a gorgeous galley up, and we run with 3 full-time crew + Chef to join on charters only and the yacht accommodates up to 8 guests.
The program is Private owner use with a few guest-charters (12-16 weeks/year total – i.e. about 1 charter every month). Apply to join us for 1 charter or a few of them for this amazing adventure. We will be sailing the Caribbean this winter/spring, and then beyond to the Pacific Islands.
We are looking for a Culinary trained chef, with extensive experience as a Yacht Chef on a yacht of this size. Candidate must have a minimum of Food Safety L2, a vast knowledge of local produce and cuisine, and have the ability to provision in obscure remote parts of the world. Knowledge of nutrition, diets and food allergies are also required. Job responsibilities include Galley and food inventory, Meal planning & provisioning, Adhere to a budget, Maintain food safety and hygiene, All guest and crew meals, Maintain Galley cleaning schedule, Galley nightly clean-downs and Cleaning of galley equipment.
