1st Mate - Temporary / Seasonal - Min exp 3 years - €see offer details - General (Europe)
Good morning, I'm Paolo Montagna co-owner of a small fleet moored in Italy, more precisely in San Benedetto del Tronto.
This year we took over a sailboat that we have been renovating for about three months. The brand new boat will be launched by the end of April. For the 2024 summer season we are trying to cover a few weeks on board our janneau 43.
Although the boat can accommodate (is approved) up to 11 people, with the charter and all-inclusive formula we host only 4 guests on board. We will sail only the eastern Adriatic Sea from June 25th to September 20th.
Croatia, Montenegro, Albania and Ionian Greece.
Almost all cruises are one-way which means that we embark customers in one marina and disembark them near another airport further south. for example, when visiting Montenegro, we board in Dubrovnik and disembark near Podgorica airport and continue in this way to Zakynthos.
On board the crew is made up of two people, sometimes three (for one night) if there is a coincidence in the crew change, but there is plenty of room for everyone.
Being our new baby Vitalyca's first season and having to recover a little of the 65,000 euros used for the restoration, we cannot guarantee superyacht's salaries, but I am sure that what we offer is perfectly in line with the market and related to the commitment required.
We are a group of pleasure boating experts who love the sea and navigation and with this passion have made it their reason for living. We sail above all for our pleasure, taking on board paying guests to pay expenses and, when possible, earn something with the company.
Now I need crew but also customers. It is possible during the season that despite planning your presence on board I have not sold the weeks to customers. In this lucky case we will be on holiday (with a salary reduced by 35%) waiting for a new 'load' of guests.
The salary varies depending on the candidate's experience. from 400 to 750 euros per week for a our skipper/captain (something more when deserved ?) :)
Despite the many years in this wonderful world I have never visited Albania, not even small Montenegro and I can't wait to sail in those crystal clear waters full of history and traditions.
Anyone who would like to find out more can write to me and receive the seasonal programme. once contact has been established we will continue the conversation via telephone and video call.
I thank you for your attention and I wish everyone a special season full of new adventures and friendships.
Until we meet again.
Paul
