Crossing L'Escala- Canary Islands and return
Hi sailors, Akiara is planning a crossing between the beginning of May and the end of June. Round trip of about 3000 Nm. L'Escala (north of Catalonia), Ibiza, Almeria, Gibraltar, Lanzarote, Tenerife and return depending on weather through Madeira to Gibraltar.
A summary of the crossing. On the way to the Canary Islands, we will stop in Ibiza for 3 or 4 days, on the coast of Almeria, Cabo de Gata 1 or 2 days and in Gibraltar or La Linea 1 or 2 days. We will sail around the Canary Islands for about 10 days before returning more directly to L'Escala. More or less one month or one month and a half. For the moment, it is open to modifications.
We are looking for 2 crewmembers with experience in sailing, night watches and deck assistance. Places available in forward cabin and two single berths in saloon. Preferably with basic knowledge of Spanish.
My partner, Estefania, will stay on board for periods of one week on some legs of the crossing and friends may visit sporadically.
We are looking for people who know how to live together on a boat and make it easy. Discipline in order, cleanliness and care of the boat. Share good conversation and respect for private space and silence.
The planning of the crossings and anchorages will be shared, appreciating inputs and opinions with the last decision on the skipper.
The costs of the trip are shared, gasoil, food and ports / buoys. There is no fixed contribution per day, the expenses are divided equally. There is no intention to go to port often.
Crew is accepted for one leg of the crossing, although we would preferably like to find a person committed to all of it.
