2024 Adventure Cruise from Greece to Tunisia
This season I plan to casually coastal cruise from Greece (Preveza, Corfu) to Italy, Sicily, Malta, Gozo, then arrive in Tunisia early to mid October 2024. The itinerary is not fixed in tablets of stone, is flexible to optimise life's riches, antiquities, festivals', culture, food, art, music, swimming, snorkelling, diving. This is a luxury leisurely adventure, moving from anchorages/ports at relaxed pace to visit places we have never been to before, weather conditions can present physical challenges but the learning, fun, laughter and companionship are the rewards.
Subject to weather I ordinarily plan day sails with occasional night passages depending on distance to next intended port. Where possible we utilise anchorages. We can negotiate when & where to eat/drink ashore. At times it may be prudent to berth overnight or for a couple of days in a port/marina. Berthing fees are shared amongst the number of people onboard. We could hire a car or motorbike to visit local places of interest, I'm happy to include crew wishes.
Cost contribution 30 euros per person per day plus when onboard Arcas, we will agree & share duties for example cleaning activities, meal plans/preparation, shopping & split all costs equitably (excluding cost of alcohol which is only consumed once Arcas is safely at anchorage/berth). As Skipper & owner I cover the costs for vessel maintenance and fuel.
I'm looking to attract 2 to 3 individuals with or without sailing experience to join S/Y Arcas for periods of 14 days or more. I’m happy for crew to be onboard for a calendar month +/- a week, 4 to 5 weeks. Crew can embark & disembark flexibly along route according to personal time constraints. Crew will take responsibility for your own travel arrangements, connections and ashore accommodation as necessary.
Ideally crew should love the outdoors, the wind on your cheeks, warm sunshine, travel, nature, freedom, wine and song. Team players willing to clean & tidy, be diligent easy-going, fit & healthy, polite & friendly, organised, respectful, trust worthy, confident swimmer, rarely/unlikely seasick, good communicator, positive life outlook with a sense of humour, enjoy cooking, doesn't mind cleaning, maybe skilled & good with maintenance.
Crew members must be co-operative and tolerant to others in order to sail the vessel safely according to the itinerary. For those that wish to learn I'm willing to share my knowledge and experience. Ideally maybe crew could teach me languages, basic
Italian, French and/or how to play the acoustic guitar?
All the above is shared in advance to optimise our joint enjoyment of the experience and allowing us to go with the flow with necessary preparation and due diligence. Any questions or matters I may over looked? Let me know
