Watch: Sailing on Acheron
I'm looking for a female crew mate to sail with me from Preveza to Athens over 10-14 days in August. It will be relaxed day sailing with time to stop of and explore places on the way and include a transit through the Corinth Canal. Whilst it's great to have an extra pair of hands to help me sail Acheron, my main motivation is to find a fun, open minded lady to travel with, and share some adventures and companionship.

Boat descriptionNew boat delivered in April 2018. Three cabin layout with two doubles and one twin cabin. Two heads with showers. All electric winches, inmast furling main with 106 % genoa and furling code 0. Raymarine chart plotter, radar and multi function displays, autopilot, AIS. For stormy harbour bound nights the saloon has a 40 inch TV, bose sound system. Fully kitted out with all safety equipment including liferaft, EPIRB, lifejackets etc. I have equipped the boat for long distance cruising with a watermaker, solar panels, generator, air conditioning, 3/4G router, high powered WiFi and Iridium Go satellite communications so that we only have to visit harbour when we want to, not for water or internet access! Otherwise I prefer to anchor and take the dingy ashore to explore, and sample the local cuisine. The boat is designed for comfortable cruising, and sails well with a respectable performance upwind and downwind.

I highly recommend traveling with Jim. He is a very good captain. He also likes to teach sailing. At the same time he is very respectful, trusthful, relaxed and fun. If you like to chat and learn new things, you should travel with him. You can talk to him for hours about different topics. You will be not bored ever. When you travel with him, you do not understand how the time goes. It will be a wonderful experience for you. Thanks ?

Amazing first sailing experience
I have no words to express the level of my appreciation and gratitude to have been invited on board of the Acheron! Jim is super knoledgeble technically and a patient instructor. Plus it was fun and easy to share life with the real gentle man he is. Comfortable. Safe. Brilliant! We did Milos > Kimolos > Sifnos > Antiparos > Ios in a few days. I learned so much! We also easily shared our stories and experiences. THANK-YOU!

An absolutely lovely experience
I had a wonderful week sailing with Jim. He is very generous with his knowledge and he was patient and communicative. He planned such an interesting itinerary with great sailing experience from Kas to Finike We also enjoyed several beautiful anchorages including sight seeing and dinners. It was a well rounded experience with technical learning and also getting a taste of the cruising lifestyle. Jim is a fascinating fellow. Very easy to talk to about everything under the sun. He is a gentleman.
