Cruising/Volunteer work Papua New Guinea, Louiseade Archipelago

Yacht Seagoon is getting ready to head back to PNG, Milne Bay Islands. Been doing volunteer solar project around small islands. This year I have been donated Solar panels, Batteries and DC cables. Even found a hospital ship that's villing to transport it all to PNG.
I leave first good weather window in May. The crossing is 530 nm, about 5 days. Will be staying around the islands for 5 month. If there is time might do a trip to Solomon island, Western Province.
If you like diving, I have dive compressor and 2 tanks, 2 BCD, 2 weight belts.
This is not a tourist trip. Could stay at one island for up to 6 weeks, all depend on the weather.

  • Boat descriptionYacht Seagoon is a long term cruising yacht. 74500m under the keel so far. Been cruising Pacific waters and Australia since 1991 Seagoon is safe, strong and will always get to the next anchorage. Behind this is lots of work keeping the yacht in good condition so I'm always ready to take of for a new trip. I have a satellite phone for emergency and a few text messages. Life jackets w safety harness. All safety gear, no life raft, use my big inflatable dinghy as a life raft. Don't plan on abanden ship, as it's my home. Have no insurance only 2 rules while sailing. No 1 "Don't fall of" No 2 "Read No 1 again slowly" I have dive compressor and 2 tanks, weight belts. Good dinghy w 9.8 hp outboard motor. Main engine was installed in 2012, Volvo Penta D1-30F just a little 3 cylinder diesel. Since 2013 I have run a volunteer solar project around the islands of Louiseades Archipelago, Milne Bay, Papua New Guinea. Up till now I have 60 villages with lights in the houses of some kind, all renewable power.
