Atlantic Crossing Chesapeake Bay - Bermudas - Azores - Gibraltar
Route Overview:
We’ll set sail from Chesapeake Bay, near Norfolk, around mid-April 2025. Before departure, the boat will be prepared and stocked with provisions. We’ll take a few trial sails in the Chesapeake area together before beginning the crossing.
The planned route includes Bermuda (or passing north of it), the Azores, and finally Portugal. The trip is expected to take 4–6 weeks, depending on weather conditions. If we’re ahead of schedule, we may continue onward toward the Mediterranean, bringing the boat closer to her summer destination.
The Boat:
A 46.5-foot Privilege Catamaran, fully equipped for bluewater cruising, featuring: Comprehensive safety equipment (including life vests with PLBs), Watermaker, Solar power, Starlink for reliable internet access.
Private double cabins with en-suite bathrooms are available in both the starboard and port hulls.
