Eastern Medeterranean Cruising 2025

Ideally looking for boatmate (female) and/or crew of any species/sex. Currently in Tunisia and I might leave with a crew of all cats. I would prefer experienced as there is still a lot to learn, but novices are welcome too. Share expenses; food, fuel, marinas. It would be good to commit for a month and see how it goes. If I had a choice, I would not favor couples as someone else put it: I don't want to be a third wheel on my own boat.
I like to see the cities and do outdoors stuff. Museums, sites, ruins, eating then burning it off Biking and Hiking.
I drink, but don't smoke. A friend just put a cigarette burn in my brand new cockpit cushion, so I am less tolerant of smoking. He paid for a new one.

CURRENT SITUATION:
Spent the winter in Tunisia and currently waiting for a new Autoprop, then do a haul out. I have a little over a month left before I have to leave. If I get the prop in my hands soon, haul out here and leave soon after to Malta. If there is a customs "problem" or mail delay and get it before the leave date, haul out in Malta. If bigger problem, sail to Malta and back to TN to reset clock and sort it out. I also ordered a new auto pilot motor which I think I will ship to Malta.

THE PLAN:
Malta ASAP. The gossip is they don't stamp your passport, so spend some time there. Order may vary: Eastern Sicily, Montenegro, Albania, Croatia and preserving the most schengen time for Greece. There is also Romania and Bulgaria to work in there somehow.

WINTER IDEAS:
A) Stay in Eastern Med: Turkey and North Cyprus. Not staying at any marina/anchorage too long would be ideal. I want to see stuff.
B) Stage for UK and Northern Europe: Morocco, maaaybe Gibraltar or UK, but that's a long way and even the Brits wouldn't winter in UK.

  • Boat descriptionLes Noble is a 1986 Via Marine 42' French built aluminum cutter rigged sloop. Dual swing keels with 3 Feet draft up, 6 down. Bought in 2015 and after extensive refit with; engine, paint, electronics, sails, rigging, water maker, safety and systems, I did a shakedown on US East Coast. I converted to a composing toilet and put it in the shower which makes things cozy, but the old head is now a pantry, tonnes of food storage. There is a fridge AND freezer, gas BBQ, 3 burner gas stove and I have used all 3, hint, hint. Plenty of solar feeding lead acid banks. 6 man liferaft, SSB, Iridium GO and Predictwind subscription. B&G electronics with forward scan and auto pilot. One SUP, snorkeling gear, pole spear, fishing gear and a folding full size mountain bike. It originally was rigged as a sloop, but utilized the baby stay to make a cutter. However, the rigging of the sheets is still a work in progress. Would love to get feedback from experienced hands. We put the asymmetrical spannaker in the water twice on the Atlantic crossing. I think we got the bugs out.
