Big Boat Milebuilder: Gosport to Cardiff via Guernsey
We’re looking for 4 enthusiastic crew members to be part of the crew on an 8-night milebuilder voyage that will deliver 72-foot Challenge Wales from Gosport to Cardiff. This hands-on sailing adventure offers the chance to gain valuable experience under the guidance of our Yachtmaster Ocean Instructor.
As part of the crew, you’ll work in a watch system and actively participate in all aspect of sailing and vessel operations, including night sailing, navigation, sail trimming, helming, cooking and cleaning. The journey covers approximately 500 miles, including at least one 60 mile passage making it an ideal opportunity to build sea miles, gain night hours, and enhance your skills towards qualifications including Yachtmaster. Whether you are aiming to broaden your sailing experience, boost confidence on larger yachts or refresh your skills before summer arrives this milebuilder delivery trip can be perfectly suited to your goals!
It is planned for an evening meal ashore on one evening which is at the participants own expense.
A passport is required. Proposed passage: Gosport, Guernsey, Plymouth, around Lands End, Swansea, Penarth but itinerary may vary slightly depending on weather. You will need to join in Gosport on 21st May at 6pm and depart Penarth on 29th May at 10am after breakfast. You will need to make your own travel arrangements to get to and from the start/finish port. Both ports accessible by train

There is a shared contribution of £46 per full day/ £25 per part day totalling £280: this includes all food/refreshments while onboard/sailing, waterproofs, lifejackets, marina, port and/or landing fees, instructor guidance and support, training. Does not include travel or food eaten ashore.
Please note Challenge Wales is a no smoking/no vaping and dry boat.
