Deckhand / Stewardess — Combined Role (for 2 people to share)
Boat: New Lagoon 42 (catamaran)
Base: Rogoznica, Croatia
Dates: 4 July 12.00 until 18 July 09.00
Crew: Private family with two children (ages 6 and 8). 8 guests total
Pay: [daily rate or “DOE”] · Food and accommodation aboard included
We are a private family looking for two crew to share a combined deckhand/stewardess role on our new Lagoon 42. The work is shared, but ideally one person focuses more on interior (stew) and the other more on deck.
Interior / Stew (lead for one person):
• Serve refreshments and meals through the day
• Help prepare and serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner
• Dishes and galley cleaning
• Help with shopping
• Help with the children (ages 6 and 8)
Deck (lead for the other person):
• Help with all sailing tasks
• Anchoring and mooring
• Manage and drive the dinghy
Cleaning (shared, daily — both inside and out):
• Clean the interior and exterior every day
• Some areas need cleaning two or three times a day to keep the boat spotless
• High standard expected throughout
We are looking for:
• Willing to cover both stew and deck duties (full experience not required — a little is fine if you are eager to learn)
• Some sailing experience is a plus
• Comfortable and happy working with young children
• Positive, hands-on, and adaptable
• Good communication — essential when sharing a role
• Works well with a family
• Valid STCW and medical (ENG1 or similar) preferred for each person
• Good spoken English
