Watch: Klaus Størtebeker

South Pacific: Tahiti - Cook Islands

We start out in Tahiti, French Polynesia, spend a few days for everyone to get to know each other then set sail or Cook Islands where we spend the remainder of the time. This trip is mostly chill cruising and Island hopping, but also a nice ocean passage, typically lasting 4-8 days in trade wind conditions.

You may opt to stay on for the next leg (see separate advert).

Our crew contribute 50USD per person per day, which covers their share of food, fuel, cruising fees and some of the maintenance.

Background story:
We are a couple sailing around the world. We started out from the Canary Islands in November 2023, and expect to return to Europe in 2028 after a full circumnavigation.

While we are capable of sailing by our own, we would like to share the adventure. We take on up to 6 crew members at a time. Crew does not necessarily need prior sailing experience. Crew will be assigned tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, shopping, watch keeping and maintenance.

Itiniary (overview):
2024 - Caribbean and Latin Amerika
2025 - Pacific Ocean and New Zealand
2026 - New Zealand, Pacific Ocean and Asia
2027 - Asia and Africa
2028 - Caribbean and Europe

Mari and I spent two amazing weeks onboard this boat with Janne and Tom, and we can’t recommend them and their boat highly enough. It was a couple of truly fantastic weeks. What can you expect? Great food, meaningful conversations, plenty of laughs, and Tom’s impressive sailing expertise along with his many other technical skills. We learned so much about sailing, and Tom’s patience as a teacher made it all the more enjoyable. The pictures in my mind don’t even do the boat justice. Klaus is beautiful—clean, spacious, and incredibly cozy. Tom and Janne really take care of their crews needs, small or big. If we ever get the chance to sail with Janne and Tom again, we’ll jump at it without hesitation! They made the whole experience unforgettable.

I can’t recommend sailing with Tom and Jane enough! Tom was very knowledgeable and really helped me learn the basics of sailing. In addition, Jane was a great cook and the conversations at dinner were wonderful! Thank you to you both :)
