Crew Wanted for Raja Ampat and Passage to Philippines
Hello!
Quasar is currently in the Royal Papua Yacht Club in PNG.
The plan is to leave Port Moresby/PNG and sail to Raja Ampat to go diving and island hopping for 3-4 weeks, then clear out of Indonesia and sail to Cebu City in the Philippines.
Its just me (so far) - I'm comfortable single handing Quasar but its always more fun with people. I'd especially like to find a dive master since I'm still a relatively novice diver.
My expectation is that crew will pay for their own food, either as a % of the bill when we do the big shop prior to clearing out, or on a weekly basis, etc.
You would need to pay for transport to Port Moresby and transport from the Philippines upon arrival. After Quasar gets to Cebu City I plan to put her on the hard for some maintenance for a few months, which basically means the end of the trip.
Who I'm looking for:
- Novice crew is fine as long as you know you don't get seasick
- You need to be in good health with no mobility issues or major medical conditions... we'll be in the middle of nowhere with limited access to emergency services
- Please don't be racist
- I'll want references and I can provide my own (i.e. people who have sailed with me in the last year).
Quasar is a pretty badass boat with a ton of room - check out the pictures! I've got one guest berth and one crew cabin available, and theres the sofa and room for a hammock. I'm looking for 4 people max (not including me), although I've done the last few trips with just me and another friend and it was fine.
She has Starlink, a dive compressor, watermaker, and a clothes washer.
I work remotely so you'll have to deal with me talking in my office very early in the morning most days.
