Hi!
We are Grant and Brendan and Henry! We are easy going, friendly people and so is our little pup Henry. We have just bought a brand new Bali 4.8 sailing cat that sailed on its own hull from the factory in France to the US. We have previous experience owning a motor yacht cruising the US East Coast and Bahamas but we are fairly new to sailing.
The boat is currently in Annapolis and we are taking delivery in mid July. We are looking for 1 crew member to live on the boat in a private cabin with private head. Duties include keeping the boat clean, standing watch, light maintenance, running errands, and looking out for our dog Henry if we leave the boat for few days.
Our plan is to sail around the Chesapeake for a month, and then down the coast (stopping along the way) and departing for the Bahamas on or about Nov 1. We will explore the Bahamas and then plan to be in the Dominican Republic by early to mid December. By late December, we plan to be in the Antilles for Christmas.
Requirements: experience on a sailing catamaran (final word on this rests with our insurance company who needs to approve the candidate as an operator, along with us)- right to work in the US as this is a US-flagged vessel
Our thought is for this to be a 6 month gig, with the option to extend for longer if everyone agrees. Pay is negotiable, and we will cover all expenses, including food and transport.
