Sailing to Greece but shakedown first!

Starting on/around the 1st of May from Motril. I am looking for 2 or 3 sailors to join the boat. Spending 10/14 days sailing 300/350NM stopping along the way, enjoying sites (the like of Cabo de Gata, Aguilas, Mazaron, Cartagena, Alicante, Tabarca island, Calpe... and also checking the bits on the boat after a winter on land. We might decide to cross over to the Baleares and we will of course enjoying some good sailing and having a good time generally.
The wind and the seas are not cast in stones and nor are our stops or sailing days but the adventure should not take any longer than 10 days (max 2 weeks depending on weather).
In any case the final stop is Denia. Regarding costs, I do not contribute to your travel to and from the boat... But I'll take care of all boat expenses (harbours, marinas, repairs, fuel...) and as every year we contribute equally (I do too) for food costs and other common expenses on board (loo rolls, washing up liquid..., it usually works out at approx 70 euros per week), and if and when we go out for a meal or a drink, either we share, invite, or take turns...

The boat is a classic 35-foot blue water yacht with a long keel, a beautiful wooden interior and all the charm and the comfort of another era. Some people did call it luxury camping!!! Since I bought this boat in Amsterdam in 2014, we've sailed over 22000 nautical miles together. This yacht is well-maintained, safe and regularly surveyed. (New engine (2022), new main sail (2023/24), new furler, new forestay 2025, new genoa (2025), new fuel tanks 2026, modern electronics including autopilot, GPS, plotter, and VHF radio, full safety gear: lifelines, life jackets, life raft, EPIRB, and more...).
Over the last 12 years, the boat has welcomed over 70 "sailors" and "aspiring sailors" women or men from aged from 14 years to 67 years, from all walks of life, all nationalities...
Whether you're an experienced sailor or a good beginner eager to learn more, don't hesitate to contact me

A Beautiful Boat and a Brilliantly Entertaining Captain

5

I sailed with Pierre for two weeks from Valencia to Motril with 2 other crew. We had a wonderful time stopping in different cities each evening and making the most of the journey. Pierre is a knowledgeable and skilled captain who knows his boat well and I learned a lot whilst sailing with him.
