I am a blue water captain (59) with years offshore exp. including deliveries in the Caribbean, Windward Passage, (2x), Turks, Bahamas, BVI, Panama, Jamaica... I am also a marine mechanic. Not the biggest hotshot but a lifelong sailor, owned several boats. I normally solo.
I also spearfish and deepsea fish a lot. I like to snorkel hours a day. I used to be a pretty good freediver. If you can eat rice and fish for a while.
A week in the D. Tortugas, a month maybe less in Cuba, Cancun, maybe Cozumel, at least a month in Belize, etc. The Rio Dulce. I speak fluent Spanish and French.
I have lived aboard for long enough to know how its done comfortably. The boat is equipped accordingly. You can Youtube Hunter Vision 32 to see what the boat is. The route is mostly downwind. 100 NM/ day normally.
Its late August now. I would like to be on the way by late Sept. You must be a good swimmer and strong, with good eyesight and the usual sailing exp.
