Looking for an experienced crew member to join a trip starting in the United States.
We are looking for an experienced crew member with solid knowledge of marine electricity and mechanics for a Sundeck 42, Trewler Diesel, Engine Volvo Penta. Lenght 42feet & beam 13 feet.
Trip Description
The trip is planned to begin around January 10th, 2026. The exact departure date may shift slightly — any time between January 5th and January 20th — depending on final preparations, provisioning, and any unexpected delays.
We will start from Indiantown, Florida (Indiantown Marina) and begin the journey by traveling through the inland canal route toward Fort Myers. After reaching Fort Myers, we will continue offshore toward the Yucatán Peninsula, making our next major stop in Cancún, Mexico.
From Cancún, the route continues south along the coast to Belize, followed by entry into Guatemala, navigating up the river to Río Dulce.
The overall trip is expected to take approximately 3 weeks to 1 month, depending on weather, sea conditions, and time spent at intermediate stops.
I am seeking someone with previous experience operating a boat with solid knowledge of marine electricity and mechanics for a Sundeck 42, Trewler Diesel, Engine Volvo Penta. Lenght 42feet & beam 13 feet. This will be a shared-adventure trip(Diesel will be payed by the owner), and I’m looking for a reliable person who can assist with general tasks onboard.
What I provide:
• Diesel fuel is fully covered by the boat owner.
What we share:
• Food and provisions (shared contributions).
• Possible port or marina fees during the trip.
Requirements:
• Experience handling a diesel-powered boat.
• Ability to navigate and maintain good awareness of direction and surroundings.
• Preferably someone who is comfortable with diving or has experience in the water.
