Deckhand - Temporary / Seasonal - Min exp 2 years - €2000-3000 - Spain
Deckhand/maintenance crew required on classic TSDY, La Fenice.
We have a busy winter schedule of maintenance is planned for La Fenice including a 3 week shipyard visit. She will remain on her berth in la Ràpita for the remainder of the time.
To begin, you will be part of a crew of 2 and the only crew member living onboard from Nov-Feb. The other team members live locally. We have excellent crew quarters and all cabin are ensuite. You will not be required to share a cabin for the winter period. Candidates must have an enthusiasm for classic boat maintenance and some previous experience is preferred. "Maintenance not miles" is the motto for this project.
A knowledge of Spanish is helpful but not a necessity although it will help you integrate into the community. Fluent English is required. A current STCW, valid medical and any working visas are mandatory.
Ideally you will be currently based within Spain. Overseas applicants will be considered but expenses are only reimbursed for travel within Spain and its immediate neighbouring countries. We will consider applications globally but you must be prepared to finance your travel to mainland Spain. Please DO NOT apply if this condition does not suit you.
