Captain - Temporary / Seasonal - €TBC - General (Europe)
Captain position available on a private owner-operated motor yacht cruising the Mediterranean.
This is a privately used yacht with no charter program. The owner is an experienced boat owner who enjoys being involved with the yacht and occasionally taking the helm. The position therefore suits a Captain who is comfortable working in a cooperative owner–captain relationship rather than a strict hierarchy.
We are looking for a hands-on Captain with solid technical understanding who enjoys maintaining a yacht in excellent condition and being involved in maintenance and yard periods.
Responsibilities include navigation, passage planning, general vessel management, technical oversight and ensuring the yacht is kept to a high standard.
The yacht is used by the owner and family with children, creating a relaxed and respectful environment on board.
This role would suit a Captain who prefers an owner-operated private yacht environment rather than a charter program.
