Help needed in bringing my yacht home
I bought a yacht in Slovenia last year and she is close to the end of a re fit, she is a Bavaria 44 called Oulipo. I am looking to bring her back to the uk mid June thro July obviously weather is going to define dates more than the calendar. I have an experienced skipper friend on the first week, who will be helping set up the boat ready for the journey home. Along with getting me as prepared as possible for the trip after he has flown home.
I am looking for experienced help after this for either part or all the way back. It’s not going to be a holiday and I do need to get back as quickly and safely as possible, again the weather will be the defining part of this. But I also want it to be an enjoyable journey for all who take part in
My thoughts are all duties shared one way or another everyone pulls there weight.
I’m easy to get in with don’t smoke or vape not a heavy drinker and drinking only when at anchor.
I’m not planning on a mariner every night, so we will be self sufficient as much as possible.
If someone out there could do the whole way back and is experienced in yacht deliveries or just an experienced sailor and happy and able to pass on as much as I can soak up, then I would be happy to pay your flights and food costs while on board. Anyone looking to build miles or be in a similar position to me you would be welcome but at your own costs, a share of the food and your own flights.
Once we are back in the uk you would be more than welcome to stay at my home while you sort either your way home or what ever you are doing next.
My overall hopes for the journey are to learn as much as possible, whilst it also been an advisor all concerned.
