~Mid-February 2027: Atlantic Crossing to Brazil

Hey there!
I’m Nils, 42, originally from Berlin-Kreuzberg, working as a freelance videographer. For the past year, I’ve been living aboard my sailboat Livity, and I’m planning to keep this liveaboard lifestyle going for the next few years. I sailed down from the Baltic Sea to the Canary Islands with different crew members along the way.
I’m primarily looking for crew to join me for the big Atlantic crossing to Brazil in February 2027. However, offshore passages require absolute trust, good communication, and clear synergy on board. Because of that, I’d love for us to sail together in the Canary Islands between September and mid December first. This gives us the chance to test the boat, get to know each other’s rhythm, see how we function as a team at sea, and make sure everyone feels completely comfortable before embarking on the ocean crossing.

Life on Board & Atmosphere
I’m not interested in rushing along a fixed schedule. For me, it’s about truly living along the way: getting to know places, meeting people, and staying longer where it feels right.
Sailing means freedom - feeling the wind, reconnecting with nature, falling asleep under the stars, and jumping into the ocean first thing in the morning.
I enjoy diving, fishing, and windsurfing, and I’m keen to do more freediving and kitesurfing. I appreciate quiet anchorages just as much as lively local markets, good food, music, and the occasional night out. As a videographer, I also plan to document stories about nature conservation and local culture along our route.
What matters most on board is a relaxed, respectful, and open atmosphere where decisions are made together as a team.

Remote work is easily possible on board via starlink.

Who I’m Looking For
I’m looking for capable crew members with good hands-on sailing experience, an open mind, a sense of humor, and a genuine love for nature and the sea.

If you’re keen on crossing the Atlantic and want to join for the preparatory legs in the Canaries first, drop me a message with a bit about yourself, some pictures of you and your sailing background.

Peace & Livity,
Nils
