Beneteau423 Toronto to Victoria

I'm a Toronto Boater so a Great Lakes Sailor with experence with mostly racing boats, and I worked on boats for an eirlire part of my lfie (In a yard near Toronto). And I'll be up front and say that I'm looking for a partner to share my retirement with, and life in B.C. Big on Biking, being healthy, outdoors, and Enjoying what the west has to offer (mostly not bad winters). So I'm really looking for ba girl at about the same state in life with hopefully some of the same same goals and interests. We could get the boat there, settle down, and then continue to explore the neighorhood (which from what I've seen will keep us busy for quite a while. I tried doing this on a normal "dating site" with abysmal result, wiich could more or less be summarized: "you've got to be kidding!" Lesson learned. Tthe other thing I'm after, is someone who is more famiilar with tides, anchoring in tides. and those salt water skills. I'll be right up front and say your intput and backround would really be appreciated. So not so much a crewing job, maybe more of a date. Hopefully a long one. We'll see what happens. So Toronto Via the east cost, South , then throught the canal, and west to Hawaii, and then Nrth, back east to Victoria. If it works wit works, if not we part comaant and hopefully I've provided you with a meaniful pleasant experience.

  • Boat descriptionThis boat is in good shape, mostly because yours truly has used the last 8 years to put together a really nice, wjat amounts to a nice, sails well cottage on the water. This is not a blue water boat, a but will do most of this trip without any problems. But it is not a Tianna. But all design decisions are a matter of give and take, and this boat has some good stuff. lot of light, a nice motion through the water down wind, and tons of room in the main salon. I know every part of this boat, because I' have improved much of it. Excellent navigation gear, good engine, really good electrical system. And the mast (the old one, was cracked) and was replace by a nice, new Seldon' with a good mast about 8, 9 years ago. The boat is dry, and if you have been around boats, it tracks well, handles well, and again is in excellent shape. It has AIs (that is distributed via the boats network) an EPIRB, no Life Raft yet, (was hoping to get one in either Halifax or in maybe Annapolis). the boat has not a bad first aid kit. But it does have excellent double redundancy where Nav. gear is concerned, and the usual list of safety gear.
