Would you like an opportunity to sail on a 72 foot ORMA

Captain Jolly Holly has been living aboard on Anchor traveling the east coast, west coast, Bahamas, Caribbean, and Central America for the last 15 years. We have been sailing together as a couple for the last seven years.
Our boat is a 72 foot ultralight Trimaran that used to be a high end race boat. We have recommissioned her to a cruiser to give her the retirement she deserves and enjoy the sailing first living slow lifestyle. The vessel is capable of speeds greater than 40 kn, but we are not racers, we are cruisers and we sail her in much more conservative safer conditions. Typically cruising somewhere in the teens to low 20s.

We do not require crew with experience sailing on this caliber of Boat. but we do require that Crew have some former experience aboard and basic knowledge and respect for safety protocol

we are looking for one to two crewmates to Sail from the East Coast Florida area to New Jersey. We are currently in Fort Pierce, but continuing to work our way north between weather windows with all these little thunderstorms coming off the coast. We will be stopping and avoiding any major weather along the way…. In which case local adventures will be found, and enjoyed

Our current crew has other obligations they need to return to in about a week so we are ready to accept new crew In about that timeframe…(June 25, 2026)

This is an experience opportunity. NOT a paid gig, and you will cover your own travel expenses. We do feed all crew three meals a day and according to all of our crew we have had over the last decade they claim to “eat better on board than they have ever eaten in their lives”

Your main and only required responsibility on board is taking the two hour night Watch shifts through the course of the transit And, of course maintaining a communal effort for all daily living necessities, such as cleanliness and food preparation. you will also be required to wear the necessary, Offshore safety harness provided by us at all times while on Deck Offshore. All other tasks are voluntary. There is always something to tinker about with underway, and a lot to learn if you are motivated to do so. We are both marine engineers and have a lot of knowledge to share. We enjoy Crew who are interested in learning,

This is a race boat by design so crew bunks and living space is snug but all creature comforts are present. Water maker, hot/cold showers, full head, induction cooking, auto pilot, windless, GPS, safety gear, etc..

We love to fish and typically run lines and catch quite a few tuna and mahi along the way. This is a very fun vessel to be a part of and most of our crew are absolutely enamored with the experience. many of our crew from the past have returned from multiple crossings with us over the years…

  • Boat descriptionTritium was originally a 60 foot ORMA built in 2002. In 2010 She became the prototype/test platform for the upcoming 72 foot Americas cup boat builds where she was extended to 72 feet and foils were added…. She has quite the racing pedigree behind her, but in 2019 with the chaos of the world through that time. She became cast aside and like many great “racehorse” of the past that wind up behind the barn they are just put down…. After 13 years full-time sailing experience and partnered with an equally capable marine engineer, we took on the challenge of rescuing her and converting her to a cruiser… 2 1/2 years and nearly 8000 miles later she unlike anything you’ll ever step foot on… she offers both the opportunity to do 40 kn under Sail while you can also make water on solar power, cook on induction cooking, and take a hot shower. And while she offers capabilities to travel at such high rates of speed, we are very much cruisers not sailors. We run a safe ship with conservative canvas and highly respected mother nature. Weather windows are choosen very strategically, and and we do not permit any type of scheduling or deadline to step aboard this vessel other than those dictated by mother nature. most of our passages are absolutely phenomenal sleigh rides in the high teens to low 20s knotts range We have necessary safety equipment on board and all crew Will be provided with a Offshore safety harness while on board which they will be required to wear on deck at all times Offshore.
