Chef - Temporary / Seasonal - $DOE - General (Europe)
We are looking for a freelance Chef to join a 28 m sailing yacht in Sardinia during charters ONLY.
Confirmed dates: 08/07-15/07, 25/07-01/08, 8-15 August and 28/08-04/09; we actively work to fill dates in July and more in August.
You will need to have a sailing background to be able to cook underway, be extremely organised, and have an international driving licence.
Charter experience on a similar size sailing boat. Non-smoker. Team player. STCW. ENG1. Good knowledge of the English language is required. Salary: paid in Euros, base salary - DOE.
Responsibilities:
Daily menu planning for guests according to their preferences and food intolerances (according to preference sheet).
Food provisioning and inventory checks for charter (sometimes yacht will deliver food, sometimes chef has to take car and do own shopping).
Food preparation: breakfast, lunch, dinner for guests and crew (4 crew including chef).
Galley cleaning after cooking.
Organise equipment and provisions in the galley and other storage areas.
Ensure daily provisioning costs are within the budget set by the captain and provide daily invoices and receipts to the captain.
Cleaning dishes with help of deckhand or stewardess.
