Sailing from Spain to Portugal
Hello sailors!
I’m currently in Spain sailing to Lisbon Portugal.
Why I’m looking for crew
I’m sailing my Seamaster 925 from the Netherlands to Brazil over several months. Some legs are long and require shared watches, and others are coastal hops where company and teamwork make the journey safer and more enjoyable. I’m looking for people who want to join part of the route or the full adventure.
What I expect from crew onboard
Positive attitude and respect for shared space
Participation in daily tasks (cooking, cleaning, watches)
Ability to adapt to simple living on a small boat
Reliability during night watches
Experience is welcome, but commitment and teamwork matter more.
What crew should expect onboard
This is a small 28‑ft boat, not a luxury yacht. Expect:
Tight living quarters
Basic comfort
Shared sleeping and storage space
Long sailing days and night watches
Real adventure, real seamanship, and a straightforward lifestyle
If you need privacy or hotel‑level comfort, this won’t be the right fit.
Type of person I’m looking for
Easygoing, respectful, curious, and able to handle simplicity. Someone who enjoys nature, teamwork, and the rhythm of long passages. Drama‑free, flexible, and comfortable living close to others.
Costs (clear and transparent)
This is not a paid position and not a charter.
Each crew member covers their own expenses:
Food
Marinas/harbors
Travel to/from the boat
Visas and insurance
Personal gear
Inflatable lifejacket (bring your own if preferred)
I provide the boat, seamanship, and the adventure. Crew contributes equally to shared costs.
