Day / 2day trip cruising / Long Island sound

I have a pacific Seacraft Dana 24 that is on Long Island Sound in Port Jefferson. Just completed restoration and have to put sails on and sail/motor to new mooring East Hampton, NY. Looking for person with some sailing experience to help put sails up and take the trip. Other New England cruising trips will hopefully follow this summer. I prefer to have someone on board with me for safety reasons and to share the cruising. trip hopefully to East end of Long Island week of July 20th. Likely a one or two day trip. Of course I pay all on board expenses. Pls contact if in the area and interested. Thank you.

  • Boat description2005 Pacific Seacraft Dana 24, ketch rigged, small but very seaworthy vessel designed for Blue water sailing. Raymarine gps/ wind indicator, two vhs radios, multiple man overboard safety slings, double lifelines, stern access ladder, enclosed head (which hopefully will not be used on shorter trips), main sail, furling genoe, furling stay sail, spinnaker. With bow pulpit boat is 27 feet. Diesel engine, inverter, etc. hull speed 5-6 knots. Boat was just retrofitted and completely gone over to insure all systems in good condition. Boat was newly acquired and moved to the east coast. New rigging, new Furlers , now needs existing sails put on the Furlers and raised.
