About the Vessel & Passage Strategy
Far Out Two is a high-performance blue-water catamaran engineered for fast, safe blue-water transit. The boat is equipped with a premium Neil Pryde XRP sail wardrobe (high-roach main, self-tacking jib, and bowsprit-mounted Screecher), twin Yanmar engines (78hp total), Starlink Maritime for live ECMWF weather routing and youtube cat videos. This is a three cabin two heads owners version, so everyone gets their own cabin, Boat has AC, heating, watermaker, solar and auto pilot.
To maximize safety, fatigue, and maintain a great onboard social dynamic, we will operate a Rolling Overlap Watch Schedule. No one stands a night watch alone, and we maintain a dedicated 2-hour "All Hands" group window every afternoon for weather routing updates and shared meal prep.


Expected Milestone Schedule (Sustained 200+ nm Days):
* Leg 1: Fiji to Thursday Island (~10–12 days)
* Leg 2 Thursday to Christmas island (~10-12 days)
* Leg 3: Christmas Island to Mauritius via to Cocos Keeling (~15 days)
* Leg 4: Mauritius to South Africa (Hard Deadline: Clear Mauritius by mid-October to stay ahead of the SW Indian Ocean cyclone season, arriving in Cape Town.
* Leg 5: Cape Town to Azores via St Helena and Asencion (clockwise around the Azores high) & Gibraltar (Departing Cape Town during the stable Austral summer window).


Crew Qualifications :
Because this is a challenging multi-ocean crossing - a formal sailing resumé. We are seeking crew who meet the following criteria:
* Experience: Verified blue-water offshore miles logged, with a strong preference for candidates with overnight helming hours on performance multihulls.
* Certifications: RYA Yachtmaster Offshore, STCW, or equivalent Ocean Passage-making certifications, medical training are highly valued.
* Skills: Strong mechanical/electrical troubleshooting skills (Yanmar diesel or marine systems) is a massive plus.
* Attributes: Calm under pressure, team-oriented.


Financial Arrangements:
This is a non-commercial, shared-adventure delivery position.
* Owner Covers: Fuel, marina berthing fees, and local inward/outward port clearance taxes for the boat. Shared food.
* Crew Covers: Your own flights/travel to the boat in Fiji, personal visas, and return flights from your chosen departure port or final arrival in Gibraltar. Nights out in Port at your own expense.
