Monara looking for crew to sail from Madagascar to Cape Town South Africa
We are looking for one or two persons who want to join us for a short, but epic crossing.
Monara will leave Nosy Be in Madagascar begining of October, cross the Mozambique Channel towards Mozambique, and work our way South along the coast of East Africa.
Along this stretch, the Agulas current flows at 2 to 4 knots from North to South, whereas weather systems (depressions) from the Cape can bring strong adverse winds. The only option to cover this stretch of coast line is harbor hopping, waiting for weather windows.
Monara is a 1960 trawler yacht, see monara.be for more details.
As a crew member we want you to help in navigating, keeping a watch and assist in household tasks, anchoring and berthing.
We expect to live together with our crew, this is not work, it's relaxed and pleasant cruising, nice food and exploring the world.
Costs of food would be shared, fuel will be paid by the captain.
