Experienced recreational crew wanted: Fiji–New Caledonia–Australia, September/October 2026
We are a German/Australian couple seeking one experienced and compatible crew member to join our 11.89 m monohull, Alfredo, for one or both of the following offshore passages:
Nadi/Vuda, Fiji to Noumea, New Caledonia — departure around 15 September 2026
Noumea to Bundaberg, Australia — departure around 1 October 2026
All departure dates are weather-dependent, so the crew member must be flexible regarding suitable passage windows.
This is an unpaid recreational crewing opportunity, not a professional delivery position. We are looking for someone with genuine sailing and offshore watchkeeping experience who:
Is comfortable taking scheduled day and night watches
Will follow the skipper’s decisions and the vessel’s watch and safety procedures
Is cooperative, calm and respectful
Participates equally in cooking, washing up, cleaning and everyday boat chores
Does not smoke or use recreational drugs
Is willing to provide sailing references and participate in video calls before joining
Can cover their own travel, visa, insurance and personal expenses
The skipper will cover fuel, food and passage consumables/expenses
Safety observations and concerns are always welcome, but command responsibility remains with the skipper.
