Chef - Permanent - United States
We are looking for a chef to join our team. Ideal crew member will have experience in ships’ galleys serving up delicious and varied meals for up to 18 people on board and able to accommodate a range of dietary restrictions. Competency on deck duties preferred, training provided. OW certification preferred, candidates with rescue diver and higher dive certs will be prioritized.
Juliet Sailing and Diving is a small liveaboard company running trips from Miami to the Bahamas April through November, and basing in and around the USVIs December through March. Maximum 12 passengers, 4-5 crew, we offer customized itineraries to dive groups in a laid-back, welcoming atmosphere.
General requirements:
Ability to work as a team in close-quarters
Experience on charter vessels
Strong organizational skills and attention to cleanliness
Experience cooking for groups of 10-20
Effectively meal-plan for 7-14 days anticipating that there will be no access to outside resources during trips
Flexible and able to think and act quickly
Current CPR/First aid
Enrollment in company drug testing consortium
Candidate MUST be a US citizen due to our vessel flag and manning requirements
Great opportunity for folks interested becoming a dive pro to gain experience and dives. Well-organized cooks often dive 2-3 times per day on charter.
Current need is September 2026, schedule flexible but typically 6-8 weeks on, 3-4 weeks off.
