Halmahera to Raja Ampat, Indonesia

Greetings from me (skipper) and her (my fast and fun cruising sloop). And greetings from the remote places we will visit, and the people in those places that we will meet.

Leg 6: Buli Halmahera ➛ cross the Halmahera Sea ➛ visit offshore atolls as weather permits ➛ cruise Weigeo ➛ Sorong

Starts Oct 15. 6 Weeks.

Raja Ampat is famous for incredible scenery, recognized as a biodiversity hotspot, excellent sailing and scuba diving.

Awesome sailing on a fast & fun 17 meter sloop - she loves to surf. Snorking, scuba diving, hiking etc. Great food.

If you are looking to get your skipper qualification or own your own boat, I enjoy teaching, and can you the opportunity to fill the gaps in your skill/knowledge, including surfing the boat at 18 knots if you're keen.

She’s capable, comfortable and safe (recent refit, recent survey, insured, full complement of safety gear, etc). We (me and the boat) have sailed Hawaii to San Francisco. To Mexico for a season and back. Then to the South Pacific. Three years cruising the islands from The Marquesas to New Caledonia. 6 passages between the islands and New Zealand. Then to Vanuatu & New Caledonia (2nd time), and Australia. Now in Indonesia, headed to Morotai and Raja Ampat.
