⛵ Experienced sailor/mentor Wanted - Mainland Spain to the Canary Islands
We’re a family of four looking for an experienced, competent sailor to join us for a few weeks while we build our confidence, remember the things we’ve forgotten and learn the things we don’t yet know!
We’re not complete beginners. We’ve sailed our 49ft Sun Odyssey many times from mainland Spain across to Ibiza, Formentera and Mallorca, and we’ve spent plenty of time living aboard and at anchor. However, our next adventure is a bigger one for us: sailing down the Spanish coast and eventually across to the Canary Islands.
For this trip, we’d really like someone experienced on board who knows what they’re doing and can help guide us along the way, particularly with longer passages, planning, weather, anchoring and general seamanship.
Initially, we’re seeing whether there’s someone who would simply love to join us for the trip and the adventure. All onboard costs would be covered by us.
Rather than hiring a delivery captain and sailing straight to the Canaries as quickly as possible, we’d much prefer to take our time, explore different places and anchorages along the route, and make the journey part of the adventure.
We’re flexible with timings and happy to discuss the route and arrangements with the right person.
